-To scrape clean and use again-
These works consist of taking 25 years of salvaged drawings, sketches, photographs and personal documents such as birth certificates, marriage vows, household bills, from my flood damaged New Orleans home and studio and
recycling them combining xerox, ink and the encaustic process.Their archival qualities
help create a state of limbo; a state of transition from the
chaos surrounding an event such as a flood into the primal beginnings of rebirth.
